Today is Easter, a holiday celebrated by approximately 2.2 billion people around the world. It's also the season of Ramadan which is honored by almost 2 billion Muslims, and then of course, the 15 million Jews do their thing this time of year as well.
These aren't the only religions. Scholars estimate that there are over 4,000 recognized religious organizations throughout the world consisting of churches, congregations, faith groups, tribes, cultures, and other movements. 3/4 of the world's population practice some sort of faith based activity.
None of them are "wrong" as long as they are centered on peace, love, compassion, kindness, and forgiveness. However many of us were taught growing up that essentially "my god is better than your god", which is a dubious claim at best. Therein lies the strife that human beings have been subjected to throughout history, from actual religious wars where millions of people have been killed, to the fear and emotional suffering inflicted on those who think that everyone ought to believe what they do...and if not....well then there's a very unhappy ending for you.
Faith is a critical component of living life on Earth, and it would be nice if everyone had some, but no one should disparage others who have none or who think differently.
