92 year old Rupert Murdoch is quitting his job as head of Fox News.
Finally, and….good riddance.
Like others in prominent roles, particularly at Fox which influenced (and still does) the thinking of millions of viewers, Murdoch allowed multiple lies regarding the “stolen” 2020 election to be broadcast on his network.
When asked under oath if his biggest talking heads like Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, Jeanine Pirro, and Sean Hannity endorsed the notion of a stolen election, he said: “Yes, they endorsed.”
Furthermore when asked if he could have required his TV stars to stop hosting Rudy Guiliani, Donald Trump's personal attorney and one of the biggest promoters of the “Big Lie”, on their programs, he said, “I could have, but I didn’t.”
I often wonder about guys like this. Will Murdoch’s $17 billion fortune he made dividing this country so thoroughly cause him any remorse now that he has a little more time to think about it?
I doubt it.
