Answer: They all smoked weed.
In the old days this practice was fairly common, then it became uncommon (mostly because of drug laws), and now it’s common again. Almost a quarter of the adult population regularly uses pot and around half of Americans have tried it.
In 1987 Ronald Reagan announced his pick for a Supreme Court vacancy but had to backtrack after it was discovered that the candidate, Douglas Ginsburg, had gotten high with a few of his stoner students while he was a professor at Harvard.
Bill Clinton got busted during his campaign for having tried pot but said he didn’t inhale. Ya’ right….
Obama fully admitted his past discretion, and when asked if he had ever inhaled, he said, of course, “that was the point”. Duh….
Because the military can’t come up with enough new soldiers these days, it has just announced new rules saying that past marijuana use won’t disqualify an applicant from serving. In the past 5 years, 3,400 recruits failed a drug test on their first day but were asked to go home and try again in 90 days.
It’s my guess that a lot of these young people will resume toking up once they join the ranks.
