THAT WASN'T SMART....9/22/23

We all know we shouldn't drink and drive at the same time, or drink and dress for that matter.....

Something just as bad can happen when you drink and post on social media.

David Brooks, a well respected conservative columnist for the New York Times took a picture of his hamburger and fries this week, posted it on X with the remark, “This meal just cost me $78 at Newark Airport. This is why Americans think the economy is terrible.”

A half empty glass of what appeared to be liquor on ice along with a bottle of Tabasco sauce and a shaker of pepper were all in the picture.

The restaurant pounced by saying that the meal came to $17, while his bar tab was $61.

One reader said that he re-installed Facebook just so he could “like” the post.
