I feel sorry for kids in Florida, particularly those who are struggling with their identity. Because of his draconian “Don’t Say Gay” law, Governor Ron DeSantis has made it virtually impossible for non-binary students to figure out who they are and to realize their full potential.
The law forbids teachers from discussing gender identity and sexual orientation in their classrooms from kindergarten through high school.
Now The College Board has announced that the Florida Dept. of Education has banned Advanced Placement Psychology because the course includes those topics. Last year 27,000 students participated in this class.
DeSantis would argue that he is merely fortifying “natural laws”, which is complete and utter nonsense. The population is and always has been composed of human beings across the biological spectrum, and any to attempt to socially engineer this fact to accommodate a political agenda is reprehensible.
