Our system of justice in this country is far from perfect, but it's better than most. Oftentimes the rich and powerful get off the hook, but not always. O.J. Simpson was an exception.

Hunter Biden, the notorious son of the president, was charged with 9 felonies yesterday, which gives him a total of 12 when the 3 previous gun related charges are added.

The president himself is facing an Impeachment Inquiry to determine if he engaged in nefarious activity as well.

Donald Trump is facing 91 felonies, and like many Biden supporters who think their guy is innocent, a lot of Trump defenders will claim the charges against their man are bogus.

Nevertheless, I believe in the rule of law, and if either Biden and / or Trump is found guilty, just like anyone else convicted of a crime, they should pay price a price commensurate with their crimes, regardless of their celebrity.

“Hey Clarence, this is Richard Sackler! This is a message for you and your buddies up there at the Supreme Court. You all talked about us yesterday.

You know, me and my family already had to cough up $6 billion to give to people who said their loved ones died from our drug, OxyContin.

So what if claims against us already top $40 trillion.

We knew they were gettin' hooked and dyin' from Oxy, but hey, it made us a lot of money!

So we had to bankrupt the company to come up with the cash, but my brothers and sisters and all our kids - we ain’t gonna’ file ourselves ‘cause then they might take our money too!

But if you make us do that, they’ll have a hard time findin’ it - we already moved $11 billion out of the company and stashed it overseas.

I know you’ll do the right thing, Clarence. You always have….”

Tonight is the last candidate's debate for the GOP presidential nomination before the Iowa Caucuses in January. Like previous clashes, it's mostly shrill theater.

News pundits are salivating about how the 2 frontrunners, Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis will try to take each other down using words like attack and assault as if they were in a knife fight.

The bloodier the battle, the more money the host network makes.

Each participant has been practicing soundbites they hope will resonate and catapult them to the top, but where does that get them?

Second place.

So they're positioning themselves for one of 2 things - that Trump either dies or goes to jail before the election so the 2nd place winner can step in and take over....or as the old saying goes, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em"....and vie for an invitation to become the former president's running mate.

If it's the latter, they may want to give Mike Pence a call and ask him how that worked out....
