I've often wondered what it would be like to be homeless.
To have to search several times a day for a place to relieve myself, often in places of unbearable stench where hundreds of others have done the same thing.
To dig through the trash can outside of McDonald's in an attempt to find a half-eaten burger or a few fries, but having to settle for an unopened packet of ketchup as my meal for the day.
To have all of my world's possessions in a shopping cart soaked by rain, or worse yet, stolen.
To be assaulted for fun by young thugs.....
....all knowing that I had done my best, but yet it wasn't enough.
Homelessness increased 12% this past year, the highest jump ever recorded in the wealthiest country in the world.
