Something seems amiss when the richest man in the world has the capacity to affect the outcome of one of the most consequential wars of the 21st century.
Ukraine has become completely dependent on Elon Musk’s Starlink internet service since the Russians bombed its former infrastructure out of existence.
So last year after a personal warning from the Russian ambassador to the United States that a strike could lead to a nuclear response, Musk cut off communications with a batch of Ukranian submarine drones laden with explosives that were headed toward a Russian Navy base in Crimea.
Without guidance, the drones lost their way and floated uselessly to shore.
Musk may have been right - he might have prevented a nuclear holocaust, but then again, maybe not.
The question is, in addition to making cars, shooting rockets into space, and jiving on X, should this guy also be running a war?
