President Biden is on his way home this morning after a surprise visit to Kiev to show solidarity with the Ukrainians and their fight against Russia. It was a bold risky move, but one that had to be made.
That same day, a top Chinese official arrived in Moscow to discuss giving arms to the Russians, which they have resisted so far because of pressure from the United States. Biden has warned China of "grave consequences" if they offer arms and ammunition to the aggressors.
If they go ahead, we're all of a sudden in a proxy war with China and that's not a good thing to say the least.
The thing is, we're all complicit in China's rise to power because we like cheap shit, and they make things affordable like practically everything on the shelves at Walmart....and my iPhone and my MacBook I'm using to write this.
Had we not given up our manufacturing base here in America years ago in the name of exploiting Chinese labor and maximizing profits, we'd be in a much better position to negotiate.
